A concentrated spiritual pilgrimage focused on Lebanon’s saints and mountain monasteries, with essential cultural stops. Priority Orthodox: the Patriarchal Monastery of Saint Elias (Shwayya) , the monastic complex at Balamand, and a reflective stop at Hamatoura. Mornings at Annaya (Saint Charbel) and visits to Jrabta and Kfifan. A visit to Deir el-Natour on the coast or a prayer at St. Michael (Bekaata). We add coastal and cultural highlights — Lunch in Byblos or Jounieh and a stroll through the ancient port and souks — each day balances monastery time, the flavors and history of Lebanon.

A deeper exploration of Lebanon’s Christian roots in both Orthodox and Maronite tradition, woven with northern culture and architecture. Highlights include extended time in the Qadisha Valley (monastic caves and quiet prayer), full visits to the monasteries of Hamatoura, Qozhaya, and Elishaa. Stops at Balamand (monastic life and the historic printing/scholarly tradition). We pair these with cultural discoveries: the medieval streets of Tripoli, a coastal pilgrimage to Our Lady of Nourieh / Annouriye with its dramatic cliffside outlook, and an evening in Byblos to experience Phoenician ruins and a visit to an ancient church. Our fullest program: seven days that unite Orthodox monastic life, Lebanon’s mountain and coastal wonders, and rich cultural encounters. Begin in Beirut (churches, museums, Corniche), continue to Jeita Grotto, then north to Byblos and the shore shrines. Orthodox monasteries: Balamand, Hamatoura, Saint Elias (Shwayya) and contemplative visits to Deir el-Natour, Our Lady of Nourieh (Annouriye), and St. Michael (Bekaata) — each offering time for prayer, liturgy when available, and conversation with resident monks / nuns. Between holy sites you’ll see the Cedars of God, the mountain town of Bcharre, and the Roman grandeur of Baalbek, plus shared meals with local families and a wine-or-olive tasting in the hills.
